PE 2.5mm Diameter 2 3/8" Length Single Fiber Heat Shrink Fiber Fusion Splice Protectors is consist of cross linked polyolefin, hot melt tubes and stainless reinforcing steel rod which keep optic transmission properties of optical fiber and enhance the protection to optical fiber splices.
PE 2.5mm Diameter 2 3/8" Length Single Fiber Heat Shrink Fiber Fusion Splice Protector intends to protect (mechanically) fiber optic splices. PE 2.5mm Diameter 2 3/8" Length Single Fiber Heat Shrink Fiber Fusion Splice Protector is built from shrinkable plastic tube with metal cylinder inside. The fibers are inserted before splicing into the plastic tube. After making the splice, the shrinkable tube is heated and shrunk on the splice. It can protect the spliced fiber from being break down and unwanted bending and is coated with the plastic tube. It gives to the installer flexibility while using the spliced fibers during installation.
PE 2.5mm Diameter 2 3/8" Length Single Fiber Heat Shrink Fiber Fusion Splice Protector is fitted to the sleeve holders that are generally exist in fiber optic trays.
Features:
1. The hot-melt adhesive inner tube bonds to both the fiber and the heat shrinkable outer tubes to encapsulate the fusion splice joint and provides vibration damping and an environment seal protecting the fiber from damage and contaminants.
2. The outer high quality irradiation cross-linked polyolefin heat shrinkable tubing provides an instant shrink-force and drives the adhesive liner into all areas of the splice and excludes all the air.
3. The stainless steel rod provides additional rigidity to prevent. Misalignment, micro bending or breakage of the fiber according to the diameter after shrinking and accommodate fiber diameter.
